Would you like to help sponsor one of our horses? Below are our current horses in need of sponsorship. You can sponsor a horse each month by clicking on the amount that you would like to pay each month beside the horse that you would like to sponsor and then clicking the Subscribe button. Your donation will help provide care for that horse and their needs. You will also receive a Certificate of Sponsorship and an 8 x 10 photograph of the horse you sponsor when your sponsorship is at the $100.00 or more level. We appreciate your support.

Smokey Mink is a 21 year old grey thoroughbred gelding by Private Terms out of Mink Hat. Smokey Mink is a Maryland bred and had 26 career starts with lifetime earnings of $15,770. His sire, Private Terms was a Multiple Graded Stakes winner with earnings of $1,243,947. The R.A.C.E. Fund saved Smokey from going to slaughter in March 2013. Nearly starved to death, very ill and his spirit broken, it was not certain for the first few weeks if he would suvive or not. However, with immediate vet care and around the clock care, Smokey has rebounded and is doing very well now. He has a good appetite and enjoys just being a horse. Smokey will permanently reside at our participating horse rescue facility in Maryland.

Grand Bailout is a 7 year old bay thoroughbred gelding by Lion Heart out of Princess Grand. Grand Bailout had 14 career starts and lifetime earnings of $48,550. His sire, Lion Heart was a Multiple Graded Stakes Winner and finished second to Smarty Jones in the 2004 Kentucky Derby. Grand Bailout was saved by the R.A.C.E. Fund from going to slaughter in June 2012. He is currently residing in Virginia.

Count Wood is a 19 year old dark bay thoroughbred gelding by Hansel out of Dancers Count. Count Wood had 16 career starts and lifetime earnings of $14,845. His sire, Hansel was a Multiple Graded Stakes Winner and won the 1991 Preakness and Belmont Stakes. Count Wood was saved by the R.A.C.E. Fund from going to slaughter in September 2012. He is currently residing in Virginia.

Chocolate Knight is a 13 year old dark bay thoroughbred gelding by Medieval Rival out of Tothethirdpower. Chocolate Knight has 71 career starts and lifetime earnings of $132,933. He was retired from racing in 2011 by the R.A.C.E Fund. No wonder part of his name is "Chocolate" as he is the sweetest and kindest horse. Chocolate is currently in rehabilitation due to a recent injury.

Exchange Girl is a 4 year old dark bay fill by Omega Code out of Smart Exchange. Exchange Girl had 15 careers starts and lifetime earnings of $ $8,737. Her sire, Omega Code was a Graded Stakes Winner. Exchange Girl was saved by the R.A.C.E. Fund from going to slaughter in October 2012. She is currently residing at one of our participating rescues in Maryland during her recovery and rehabilitation.
